How to Tie the Double Windsor Knot (for ties)

1. Put the tie around your neck and have the narrow end about 2 inches above your belly button.

2. Bring the wide end (we'll call that the broad end) over the narrow end.

3. Bring the broad end under the narrow end.

4. Bring the broad end up and put it through the loop close to your neck and pull. It should look like the picture below.

5. Bring the broad end over the narrow end so that the broad end is pointing down to the left.

6. Bring the broad end around and through the loop close to your neck

7. Finally, there should be a hole or slot. Pull the broad end back up through the loop closest to your neck and then in through the hole.
Try to make a dimple as you pull the tie taut. See below:

8. You should now have a double windsor knot like the one below:
